Doors open 6.30pm\nABOUT THE AGM\nAGM details will be sent to members two weeks prior to the meeting.  If you have not received details by then\, please Contact Us. \nIf you would like to join on the evening\, you will be able to cast a vote.  Membership is £10 per year for 1 individual. \nNon-members welcome\, but may not vote at the AGM. \nComplimentary refreshments will be available. \nABOUT THE TALK\nBrockhill\, in Saltwood\, is remarkable for having been in the possession of the same family from the 1200s to the early 1900s.  But where exactly was it?  And what were these people like? \nABOUT THE SPEAKER\nMike de la Mare is a local historian from Saltwood.  His series of Saltwood and its People books on the history of the village have proven very popular\, with the first volume long out of print! \nABOUT THE VENUE\nStanford Parish Room was previously the Jazz Bar at Folkestone Racecourse. \nFrom Stone Street\, enter via the old racecourse entrance (signposted Otterpool Park).  Walk through the gate at the end of the lane.  The Parish Room will be in front of you\, right of the parade ring. \nTRAVEL TO THE VENUE\nBy Car:\nFrom the A20\, take Stone Street (signposted Racecourse & Westenhanger Station).  After the houses end\, you will see a white gate on the left\, with a lane immediately after.  Take the lane down to the end and park in the car park on the right\, just before the first building. \nBy Train:\nTake the train to Westenhanger station.  The exit is on Platform 1 – to cross the track from Platform 2\, use the footbridge.  Exit via the car park\, walk up the lane and continue up Stone Street.  Pass the entrance to Westenhanger Castle just outside the station and take the next entrance.  Follow the lane to the end. \nFor timetables\, to book tickets and to check for any journey delays or cancellations\, visit the Southeastern website.
